Nitesh D. Kuhadiya, MD, MPH, is the Founder & Director of DECON(Diabetes & Endocrine Center of Nevada). He is a widely accomplished endocrinologist and a key thought leader in the area of Diabetes.

Dr Kuhadiya has vast clinical experience in providing cutting edge Diabetes & Endocrine care during his tenure as Clinical Assistant Professor at University at Buffalo and as Endocrinology Program Director at Renown Health,Reno,Nevada.

Dr Kuhadiya has published over three dozen papers in elite and high impact factor journals, including the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism(JCEM), Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism(DOM), European Journal of Endocrinology(EJE), Diabetes Care, American Journal of Physiology-Endocrinology and Metabolism, Clinical Endocrinology, Endocrine Practice and AACE Case Reports Journal.He has also spearheaded important proof of concept studies exploring the role of GLP-1RA and SGLT-2 inhibitors in type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Dr. Kuhadiya is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists(AACE) &American Diabetes Association(ADA).He is often an invited speaker at American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions, the National Endocrine Society Annual Meeting, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology Annual Meetings and industry conferences. Dr. Kuhadiya has also received the American DiabetesAssociation’s Young Investigator Travel Grant Award, the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust Award for outstanding research in Type 1 Diabetes (two-time recipient), the Endocrine Society’s Early Investigators Workshop Award, and the American Geriatrics Society Best Poster Award.

He also received the award of Junior Faculty for outstanding research from University at Buffalo during his tenure as clinical assistant professor.

Ben Prohaska PA-C, BC-ADM

Ben Prohaska, PA-C, BC-ADM, DFAAPA has been working in medicine here in Reno, Nevada since 2005 and spent his first 10 years of clinical practice working in Internal Medicine with a focus in diabetes. He has practiced Adult Endocrinology with a focus in diabetes management since 2016. Ben received his Board Certification in Advanced Diabetes Management in June of 2016. Ben is also a Board member of the Nevada Diabetes Association and volunteers as a medical staff member at Diabetes Kids Camp.
